So, in this changing world, with so many challenges around us, young people, alongside basic concepts and the basic skills and core knowledge, need life skills. And financial literacy, digital media literacy, education for sustainability, and the ability to communicate with confidence are such. Now, through this European Alliance, through cooperation with ActionAid, and through our shared commitment, we strengthen our young people&#8217;s ability to manage resources, make informed choices, and shape the future with confidence.\u201d<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>Ioannis Tsakiris<\/strong>, Vice-President of the European Investment Bank, noted that the EIB and its Institute, together with ActionAid Hellas and Aflatoun International, are implementing the European Alliance of Financial Education Practitioners \u2014 an initiative that transforms knowledge into real empowerment for everyone. We remain committed to investing in people, because true development begins with education and citizens\u2019 access to knowledge, it begins with building a society of equal opportunities<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>Eva Polyzogopoulou<\/strong>, Managing Director of ActionAid Hellas, emphasised:<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><em>\u201cFinancial literacy is no longer a technical skill but a tool of protection, empowerment and active citizenship. At ActionAid, we believe that the new generation in Europe must have the confidence to make choices, participate, and shape its own future. This is why we created this European alliance: to contribute to more resilient and more just societies.\u201d<\/em><\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>Roeland Monasch<\/strong>, CEO of Aflatoun International, highlighted &#8220;FIN.e represents a crucial shift in how we approach financial education in Europe\u2014by placing practitioners at the heart of the work. Through this partnership we&#8217;re creating a space where educators can share innovative approaches, access modern resources, and contribute to shaping policies that truly reflect the needs of the young people and communities they serve daily.\u201d<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>About FIN.e<\/strong><\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000080;\">\u00a0To strengthen financial literacy in Europe, we must first empower those on the front line \u2014 the educators and organisations supporting children and youth. Many of them lack adequate resources, access to modern approaches, and opportunities to participate in policy making. The European Alliance FIN.E was created precisely to bridge this gap.\u00a0 The Alliance focuses on knowledge sharing, connecting practitioners with academics , policy actors, and the private sector, \u00a0and promoting policies that are shaped from the bottom up.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Over the next three years, FIN.e will:<\/span><\/p><ul><li><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Establish a network of <strong>25 organisations<\/strong> across Europe<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Form a <strong>12-member Advisory Committee<\/strong> of experts from across Europe<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Reach more than 4.000 practitioners and relevant stakeholders<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Create a dedicated <strong>funding mechanism<\/strong> for the development of new projects<\/span><\/li><\/ul><p><span style=\"color: #000080;\">The launch of FIN.e marks the beginning of a collaborative journey that will transform financial education across Europe.
